We love our 'hood and especially our historic building! Did you know that our building was originally built to house Mading's Drug Store and its popular soda fountain, and then later served as an Imperial Plumbing Supply store until the 1990s? It sat empty for a while and we opened Hugo's in 2002!

It’s 5pm… time for a drink! 🍸

At a Mexican restaurant, ordering something other than tequila might feel a little wrong… but sometimes it’s worth it.

At Hugo’s, our “Cheating on Tequila” cocktail section celebrates spirits beyond agave—perfect for guests who don’t drink tequila or mezcal, or for our regulars ready to try something new.

Amor Prohibido 🌺 ~ vodka, hibiscus ginger beer, lime, hibiscus syrup
Doble Vida 🍋‍🟩 ~ Ketel One Cucumber Mint vodka, Condesa gin, mint, cucumber, lime, jalapeño
G&T Jardinera 🪴 ~ Condesa gin, elderflower tonic, grapefruit, cucumber, allspice, anise

And if you still want a little tequila in the mix, try our new Mexican Martini 🫒 ~ olive-based vodka, blanco tequila, lime, agave, triple sec, olive brine.

Come sip outside the agave family. 😉
