What people say
European restaurants are known for their exquisite cuisine, and giacomo's cibo e vino on Westheimer Road in Houston is no exception. This casual neighborhood Italian cafe and wine bar specializes in small plates with big flavors - cichetti (Italian tapas), homemade pasta, and focaccia. The restaurant boasts a great wine selection that perfectly complements the dishes.
One of the things that make giacomo's cibo e vino stand out is their commitment to giving back to the community. For instance, during Gay Pride Month, they donated $5 for every Pasta Onda Pride sold to Montrose Center. Also, profits from their Crostata di Ricotta e Ciliegie go towards Rescued Pets Movement.
Their June Seasonal Plates include Gazpacho di Ananas e Cetriolo - Pineapple and cucumber gazpacho, which is cold and refreshing with a hint of spiciness. Another dish worth trying is Pasta Onda Pride - Tagliatelle with shrimp, chorizo Ibérico, corn, red bell peppers, and zucchini sautéed in extra virgin olive oil finished in a sauce of white wine, butter, and basil.
Overall, giacomo's cibo e vino offers an exceptional dining experience that combines delicious food with a warm ambiance. It's definitely worth checking out if you're looking for an authentic European restaurant in Houston.
