Dads have a way of showing up—whether it’s firing up the grill, telling the same joke for the hundredth time, offering advice you didn’t ask for, or making sure everyone gets the last piece of naan. As the father of two amazing kids, I know that being a dad is equal parts love, patience, laughter, and learning as you go. I’m also lucky to work alongside some incredible fathers here at Pondicheri, whose warmth and care help make our restaurant feel like home for so many guests.
This Father’s Day weekend, we’re celebrating the dads, granddads, and father figures who bring families together around the table. Join us for good food, great company, and a little less work for Dad—we’ll handle the cooking and dishes.
Weekend steak special starting tonight! Grass-fed rib eye marinated in warming spices, garlic and ginger with mango mustard sauce & Shammi kebab (lamb, lentil and cashew mix). Served with naan.

Fish kofta or cutlets meatballs are what you make when you butcher a whole fish and all the tiny parts you cannot cut out get left. These parts, usually cheeks and closest to the bone are some of the tastiest parts of the fish. So, this week we bring you a succulent fish cutlet drenched in a spinach tomato masala…and topped off with coconut chutney.

The other day a customer was asking about our Salmon Tikkas. We served them at Indika over 20 years ago…these days, we have sworn off salmon and tuna (due to massive overfishing) so we made some tikkas using Alaskan Halibut. With a bright little salad…that Ginger Stuffed Naan on the side alone is worth coming in for! Only available today. 😋

To reach the Indian restaurant on Kirby Drive in Houston via public transport, you can take the red line train and get off at the Museum District station. From there, walk south along Caroline Street until you reach Hermann Park Drive. Take a left onto Hermann Park Drive and continue walking until you reach the intersection with Kirby Drive. The restaurant will be located on your right.
If driving, take US-59 North towards downtown and exit at Kirby Drive. Make a right turn onto Kirby and continue driving for about 2.5 miles. The restaurant will be on your left-hand side. Parking is available at the restaurant's parking lot or along the street nearby.
