The Great Kolache Road Trip took owners, Lucy and Randy to Portland, OR where they spent their vacation meeting fellow kolache makers and tasting the many ways the tradition is taking shape beyond Texas šŸ’™

Stops included Lil’ Barbecue (la la la... la Barbecue’s little sister!), Origin Bakehouse, Podnah’s Barbecue, and teen-owned and baked sugarspellsbaking. Each had their own special story and uniquely delicious style of kolaches.

Lucy shared, ā€œIt’s one thing to meet other kolache makers in Texas, but to meet them as far away as the Pacific Northwest is magical.ā€

We loved seeing the Texas tradition, creativity and people reach the beautiful PNW in such a cool way. Can’t wait to see where kolaches take us next!
