Dignity.
Freedom.
Justice for all.
They taught us the words. They just didn’t expect us to hold them to it.
Can you feel how far we’ve strayed?
You’re not wrong for feeling unsettled.
You’re not overreacting.
You’re responding to something that matters.
Remember that compassion is not something they can legislate out of you.
If your heart feels heavy, your humanity is intact.
