Black Walnut Kitchen & Bar recently participated in the annual Ready Woodlands Emergency Preparedness Event, held at The Woodlands Township.
This important community event focused on hurricane preparedness, emergency planning, and family safety, drawing hundreds of residents and families.
As a longtime member of The Woodlands community, Black Walnut provided complimentary breakfast catering for event exhibitors and agency participants, fueling the morning with fresh, chef-crafted favorites. Attendees received free kids’ gelato, which quickly became a crowd favorite on a warm spring day.

The restaurant located at Morningside Drive in Houston can be reached by public transport via the Metro Bus route number 27. Alternatively, you can also take the METRORail Red Line and get off at the Hermann Park/Rice University Station, which is about a 15-minute walk away from the restaurant.
If you prefer to drive, take Highway 59 and exit on Greenbriar Drive. Turn left onto Greenbriar Drive and then turn right onto University Boulevard. Continue straight until you reach Morningside Drive and turn left. The restaurant will be on your right-hand side.
There is limited street parking available near the restaurant but there is also a paid parking lot nearby that you can use.
