10 days. Countless memories. One last chance to gather around our table.
As we begin our final 10 days, we’d love the opportunity to serve you one more time. Bring your family, your friends, and your appetite. Order your favorites, make a few more memories, and help us celebrate everything this restaurant has meant to Houston.
From the bottom of our hearts, thank you for your loyalty, your support, and the unforgettable years you’ve shared with us.
We will be closed on Sundays and Mondays on these last few days. We’ll be here through Saturday, July 18, and we can’t wait to welcome you one last time. ❤️🍽️

From our kitchen to your table, thank you. 🤍
Since opening in 2020, Killen’s in the Heights has been rooted in Ronnie Killen’s Southern-inspired comfort food and family recipes, dishes passed down through generations that helped us to earn Michelin Bib Gourmand recognition in 2024 and 2025.
Beginning June 30 through our final day of service on July 19, we invite you to join us for a Farewell Menu featuring the return of our original menu items and fan favorites, including:
• chicken fried steak
• ronnie’s 24hr fried chicken
• pork chops (fried or smothered)
• smoked & braised oxtails
• chicken pot pie
• the cafeteria burger
• German chocolate cake
• BBQ by the pound: brisket, ribs, pulled pork, turkey & house-made sausage
Many of these items were inspired by recipes from Ronnie’s Czechoslovakian grandmother Millie, who worked at a school cafeteria in Moulton, Texas. The German chocolate cake came from his Aunt Margie, and he learned how to barbecue from his German godfather Wilfred. That tradition is at the heart of what this restaurant was about.
We’ll be open with regular hours through our final Sunday brunch on July 19. And a few staples that never left the menu will be here, including our pork belly burnt ends, deviled eggs with pulled pork, and chicken & waffles at brunch.
It’s been an honor to share these meals and moments with our guests, our team and the Heights community.

**Travel Directions to Heights Boulevard, Houston**
**By Public Transport:**
1. **Metro Bus:** Check the local Metro bus routes that service the Heights area. Routes such as 40 or 44 may have stops nearby. Use the Metro website or app for real-time schedules and route planning.
2. **Light Rail:** If you are near a light rail station, take the Red Line towards Northline Transit Center and transfer to a bus that goes to Heights Boulevard.
**By Car:**
1. **From Downtown Houston:** Take I-10 West and exit at Studemont St. Turn left onto Studemont St., then right onto Washington Ave. Continue until you reach Heights Boulevard, where you will turn left.
2. **From George Bush Intercontinental Airport (IAH):** Take the Hardy Toll Road South towards downtown Houston, merge onto I-45 South, and then take the exit for I-10 West. Follow the same directions from Downtown.
**Parking:**
There is street parking available along Heights Boulevard and surrounding streets. Be sure to check for any parking restrictions or meters in effect during your visit. Additionally, some nearby establishments may offer parking options if you're dining or visiting their locations.
