September 3rd 2016- A family of Mexican Whistling Ducks AKA Tree Ducks came by the pit room to see what is coming off the smoker. When they saw the chickens being basted on the pit the duck fam got nervous and left. Hang around Old Town Tomball long enough and these funny ducks will stop by for a visit.

What people say
Barbecue restaurants are a staple in the American food scene, and for good reason. There's nothing quite like the taste of slow-smoked meats, juicy and tender with a crispy exterior. And when you combine that with homemade sides and sauces, it's a meal that satisfies every craving.
Tejas Chocolate & Barbecue takes this classic cuisine to the next level by adding their own unique twist - chocolate. That's right, this barbecue joint also makes their own bean-to-bar chocolate and truffles from scratch. It may seem like an odd combination at first, but trust us when we say it works.
Located in the oldest building in Tomball, TX, Tejas Chocolate & Barbecue is a must-visit for any foodie. Their USDA Prime Grade brisket is smoked to perfection and melts in your mouth with every bite. And don't forget to try their homemade sides like mac and cheese or jalapeno creamed corn.
But what really sets Tejas Chocolate & Barbecue apart is their chocolate offerings. From dark chocolate bars to truffles filled with bourbon caramel, there's something for every sweet tooth. And if you're feeling adventurous, try their famous "Brisket Bark" - a chocolate bark made with bits of their signature brisket.
It's no wonder they've been ranked #6 in Texas Monthly's top 50 barbecue joints - Tejas Chocolate & Barbecue truly offers a one-of-a-kind dining experience that you won't find anywhere else. So next time you're in Tomball, be sure to stop by The Craftory and indulge in some sweet and smokey goodness.
