This year, I’d like to honor my husband, Vuth a little early for Father’s Day.

A lot of you know me (Robin) as the face of our shop, but the true backbone is him; the baker that works tirelessly for our family from beginning to end.

He is a perfectionist by trait with a keen eye for detail, never skimping or rushing. For him, quality matters more than quantity, values and commitment we both share.

He’s a man of few words but if you knew him, you’d know how truly amazing he is. A family man that puts all of our needs before his own. He’s humble, patient, down to earth, and most happy in the company of friends and family. His favorite hobby is fishing, often spending hours alone at sea or on the lake.

He’s such a hard worker never asking for much from those around him.

If you see him on Sunday, please wish him a HAPPY FATHER’S DAY. This year is a sad and emotional time for our family. A little over a week ago, my father in law (his dad) passed away in Cambodia. Vuth dropped everything and flew out the next day to bid farewell to his dad and lay him to rest for the last time.

We are beyond thankful for all 3 of our adult kids, Hung, and the rest of the team for stepping up at the shop during this difficult time. They all worked together seamlessly behind the scenes to produce the same quality without any hiccups. We are so proud of them!!!

Happy Father’s Day to you honey. We love you and are so thankful to have you in our corner. ❤️

To Our Dearest Shop Friends:

Thank you so very much for the outpour of love and support that you have shown me and my family during these past few weeks.

It’s been 10 days post surgery and I am feeling one million percent better. I’ll have my first post op appointment tomorrow and hoping for my draining tubes to be removed. Fingers crossed.

I’ve been resting at home and just focusing solely on recovery. The doctor said that it can take typically 8-12 weeks to fully heal. I’m hoping to get clearance for light duties so that I can at least go back to the shop. I miss everyone so very much and it’s weird to be away for this long.

Not only have ya’ll been helping to lighten our financial burden with the medical expenses by making a purchase at our shop and sharing our story, but the Go Fund Me raised almost 7k. I really felt all of your prayers and well wishes.

They say that it takes a village and I’m truly grateful to call you mine. There’s just no words to express the enormous gratitude that I feel in my heart.

Thank you. We appreciate each and everyone of you so much. ❤️🙏

Update:

I had my pre-op yesterday and will have surgery tomorrow afternoon. Then it will be 8-12 weeks of recovery.

I want to sincerely thank everyone, especially my dear friends, Ashley/Police Happenings and Dotty/Jerbear Crunchies who created a fundraiser on GFM and encouraged me to accept help to ease our financial burden. https://gofund.me/9a3855f9e

This is the first year that we opted out of health insurance; stuck between not qualifying for anything and premiums that are no longer affordable, it’s the perfect middle ground for disaster. And as luck would have it, a curve ball surgery that has to be paid completely out of pocket.

So thank you to everyone who has donated, shared the fundraiser, sent prayers, messages, and words of encouragement. Every single act of kindness has helped lighten this burden for me and my family and reminded me that there is still so much love and compassion in this world.

I also want to give a very special thank you to our loyal customers at Robin’s Snowflake Donuts & Cafe who have been stopping in to support us through your purchases, encouragement, and kindness.

So many of you have come in just to check on me, offer prayers, or support our small business during this difficult season, and I truly will never forget it. Supporting our shop right now means more than you know.

From the bottom of my heart, thank you. We are beyond blessed and grateful for your friendship, love, and support. ❤️🙏

Some of you may already know my story and some of you might not…

Back in 2013, I was diagnosed with breast cancer. I got the news one day before Valentine’s Day. I was a young mom, wife, and mother to 3 beautiful kids.

After undergoing chemo treatment and then hospitalized for pneumonia (I was allergic to one of the chemo meds which caused my lungs to almost fail), I was finally clear to get a double mastectomy.

My first surgery was on 7/3/2013 and the final one was on Thanksgiving Eve.

I’m so appreciative and grateful to be alive. I prayed so hard to have this day and more time with my family…to see them grow. I promised the Lord that I’d live everyday with intention; I’d be kind and compassionate. I would give back to the universe what was blessed to me.

If I’ve been quiet lately and not making as many posts, it’s because I’ll be undergoing another major surgery related to my mastectomy next Friday. I had a rupture on my birthday and was in the ER on Tuesday night from the pain. CT scan showed what I was fearful of.

If I can ask you one thing, can you please pray over my family and our business. Pray that there’s no internal bleeding and pray that the Lord works his miracle through the hands of our surgeon.

Our three older children are now young adults but now we have little Ava who is only 5 yrs old and oblivious to what’s going on. She doesn’t understand why mommy can’t pick her up and hold her the way that I used to.

And finally, if you need breakfast for your family or office, please consider purchasing from us. The financial burden is huge but I’m choosing to place my worries in the hands of the lord.

If you’ve read this far, from the bottom of my heart, thank you for supporting our small business. We love and appreciate you.

Xoxo, Robin 🙏💔
