So where did Tex-Mex actually come from?
Sylvia likes to call it “the original fusion food in this country.”
Its story goes back to when Texas was part of Mexico and Mexican traditions began mixing with the ingredients and cooking methods brought by American settlers. The result became a cuisine all its own, and one that’s now loved far beyond Texas.
