Miss Linda is making the biscuits! Reminder that we are still on the boil order so we are piecing today’s service together with blue kitchen tape and the dregs of empty bottles of water. No ice, abbreviated menu, walk-ins only, and a whole lot of love. We are here until 3.

Ok guys, here’s what we’ve got: we will be open from noon to 7p today with a limited menu and serving out of to-go boxes whether you’re dining in or taking out. We will have a couple (like two or three) cocktails available in to-go format and we will have beer and wine available until it’s gone. We have a very little bit of clean homemade ice, so little that I probably shouldn’t even mention it since it’ll probably be gone by the time I batch these cocktails. I’ll post an updated menu when we get it finalized this morning.
As hospitality people our main drive is to take care of people. Let me tell you, it is very hard to do that on a boil ban in a pandemic when most of us haven’t been able to shower or have a real meal all week and/or are dealing with busted pipes at home. Chef has been boiling water for like three days and my guess is that it’s about the amount of water that we’d normally go through in like two busy hours of normal service. We’re looking forward to taking care of you, however that may look right now.

See you Friday.

Good morning, folks. We’ll be closed today and keep our fingers crossed for tomorrow. Please take a look at the many guides available for staying warm at home. Check on your neighbors, especially if ill or elderly. Patronize a local restaurant if you can get there safely and you can find one open. And remember that misinformation is rampant when you’re deciding to hold folks accountable.

Each year we’re honored to be the place you go to eat for Valentine’s weekend because you couldn’t get a reservation somewhere fancier. To show our appreciation we’ve got TWO off-menu specials to check out!
Another Cheesy Valentine
Crawfish queso, blanched broccolini, blackened shrimp, toast points
This is kind of like fondue. Remember fondue? No? That was 40 years ago? Ok, this is like baller style queso that you can dip anything in. It’s amazing.

Happy "Kalentine’s"
Kale, seared octopus, charred broccolini, pickled fennel, orange supremes, crispy chicken skin, spiced orange dressing
This hearty salad mixes the salty spicy texture of the chicken skin with the pleasantly succulent and flavorful octopus, balanced with a creamy orange dressing. So good!
See y’all tonight for dine-in, to-go, or patio if you’re a real badass or from anywhere north of Houston.

When it rains, we pour (hollandaise sauce on eggs benedict)! Wrap up your plants this weekend, y’all. We bought some new heaters since some scumbag stole a bunch of ours recently, so you have that to look forward to. Friday gratitude: we can feel things coming back to life, y’all. It feels good. Come grab a drink and a bite (for here or to-go!) this weekend and feel the love.

Getting ready for our rye cherry-vanilla coke. This Yama slow-drip coffee maker doesn’t have to be just for coffee. We put dark sweet cherries and Madagascar vanilla beans in it and threw it on a slow drip. Can’t wait to taste the results.
