Did you know April is Parkinson’s awareness month, dedicated to increase awareness and understanding of the disease, support patients, and funding research for a cure? We’re proud to partner with Houston author Rene Zarate and have his book The Dark Side of Parkinson’s for sale throughout the month of April. René Zárate was diagnosed with Parkinson’s 8 years ago, and the book shares personal stories, struggles, and small victories from his daily life. All proceeds from the book sale goes to the author ♥️

To reach the coffee shop, you can take the local bus or train to Memorial Drive. From there, head east on Memorial Drive until you reach your destination. The coffee shop is located just a short walk from the stop.

Option 2: Driving/Parking -
If you are driving to the coffee shop, take I-10 E towards downtown Houston and exit at Taylor St. Turn left onto Taylor St and follow it until it turns into Memorial Dr. Continue along Memorial Dr for several blocks until you reach your destination.
Parking options nearby include street parking and a paid parking lot located behind the coffee shop building.

Verbena Coffee, located in the Memorial community of Houston, is a neighborhood-owned coffee shop that showcases local roasters, pastries, and savory options. The shop has a warm and inviting atmosphere that makes it the perfect spot to relax and enjoy a cup of coffee. What's even better is that Verbena Coffee frequently offers exciting promotions and giveaways to its customers. For instance, on May 31st, Frost Bank sponsored free drinks for customers between 11-1 pm. Additionally, customers who dropped off their contact details had a chance to win a $25 gift card to Verbena Coffee. On May 28th, the shop gave away samples of Oatly's chocolate oat milk to the first 100 customers who made a purchase. The shop also supports the local community by collecting pet supplies for Houston SPCA until June 18th. Verbena Coffee is always finding ways to give back to its customers and community while providing excellent coffee and service.
