Saltwater Smokers is proud to announce Houston’s own, singer and songwriter, Adam Patrick, as the featured performer Saturday, February 25 at the WCBBQ Contest.
This is a private acoustic set. All guests must have a Saltwater Smokers wristband good for Saturday or a VIP pass to enter.
Born and raised in Houston, Texas Adam Patrick grew up listening to country music from his family and his love grew for it since. At the Houston rodeo in the late 90’s while seeing his all time musical hero George Strait perform he knew he from that moment he wanted to be a singer. At the age 14 he bought a guitar and taught himself how to play. Like every beginner musician he wanted to be a rock star and play rock music but after not finding his sound with rock music he went back to his roots playing country music especially the Texas/Red Dirt music scene. His talent was a secret from everybody he knew most of his life until one day in 2018 he posted a video of him singing on social media and the response was outstanding. He started playing open mics around the Houston area later on getting gigs. Adam began writing his own songs mixing Neotraditional and modern country blending in his own style of Texas Country with songs about love, heartache and having a good time. Adam credits George Strait, Dierks Bentley, Randy Rogers, Cody Johnson, Parker McCollum and The Turnpike Troubadours as his musical heroes and influences. In 2021 he started recording his own material and released his debut single “Movin On” in July of that year with another titled “Talkin bout a love song” released that September. Adam released his self titled debut EP in March 2022 and planning on more music in the future. Be sure to keep up with Adam Patrick Music on all music platforms.

Saltwater Smokers is proud to announce Texas’ own, singer and songwriter, Brandon Rhyder, as the featured performer for VIP Night, Thursday, February 27, 2020 at Houston Livestock and Rodeo WCBBQ Contest.
Widely exalted for his exquisite ability to couple gorgeous melodies with superb storytelling and deeply admired for his signature songbird vocal style, Rhyder is an artist’s artist. His resume boasts 18 years of highly praised albums, a rigorous tour schedule of 175 plus dates a year and the privilege of working with top-notch songwriters like Liz Rhodes, Keith Gattis, Lori McKenna and Radney Foster to name a few.
This acoustic show will include some of Rhyder’s hit songs like “Rock Angel” and “Freeze Frame Time.” You won’t want to miss this night!
