The best cookies 🍪 aren’t just made with ingredients. They’re made with love, tradition, and a little bit of family history in every bite. 💗
My German grandmother who married an American soldier cooked meals for American soldiers stationed in Germany during World War II,serving comforting plates of schnitzel and that gave them a feeling of home during uncertain times. Food wasn’t just food to her — it was comfort, connection, and kindness. ♥️🏡
My American Grandmother was known for her Macadamia cookies. My mother carried on the baking traditions of my American Grandmother. She taught me how to cook when I was just a little girl. By the time I was seven years old, I could bake cookies all by myself. I started selling them around the neighborhood to earn money for church camp. Looking back, I didn’t realize it then, but those small moments were the beginning of something much bigger. 🙌🏼🥰
We didn’t grow up with a lot of money, but what we did have was something far more valuable — a family that gathered around the dinner table every single night. Our greatest memories weren’t fancy vacations or big events. They were simple evenings together, sharing a home-cooked meal. When my mom would make her famous cinnamon rolls or cookies. We’d sit in the living room watching 🍿🎥 Cary Grant or John Wayne movies while the smell of fresh baking filled the house. Those were the moments that felt like pure happiness. Baking was our family’s way of showing love. 💕
