OK, so it's Thursday and I have received (I almost said gotten, is that a word?) several positive responses regarding the soon to be announced dinner party. I promise to keep everyone in the loop. If it's a small intimate gathering, it will probably do it on a Tuesday evening or Sunday night. Please let me know what you prefer.

It's hump day! Officially the middle of the week hump day gives us pause, as we know, two more days to the weekend.
So, it's Wednesday, September 30, 2026 and the month is officially over, never to return again, in 2026. It's also au Poivre day.
Tonight's specials are Chicken au Poivre, a French inspired dish featuring a chicken breast, which is beaten excessively with a meat hammer, served with a rich cognac cream sauce that includes peppercorns, cooked in a sauté pan and served over spaghetti noodles, accompanied by roasted carrots, green beans and potatoes wedges.
Second special is Cozy Grape’s own Pork Tenderloin Vincent, a juicy pork tenderloin that is tenderized, dredged in flour and pecorino Romano, cooked in a saute pan and baked off in the oven over pasta and accompanied by roasted carrots, green beans and potatoes wedges.
In the last 30 years, Americans have seen a massive decline in practically every measure of socializing. People are less likely to play cards; attend a sporting event; go to the bar; volunteer; or work on a community project.

It's a beautiful Saturday morning, September 26, 2026. It's a College Football Saturday. Thanks to everyone that came in last night to support us.
Saturday evening we are offering: A classic arugula salad with burrata layers peppery arugula leaves with creamy burrata cheese, often paired with tomatoes, basil, olive oil, and balsamic glaze.
Hanger Steak, a cut of beef steak prized for its flavor and tenderness, taken from the plate (upper belly) and also known as butcher’s steak. It’s a rare cut because there’s typically only one hanger steak per animal.
Branzino, a flaky, mild-tasting ocean fish, a type of sea bass, commonly found around western and southern Europe, as well as in waters north of Africa. It is a staple of Mediterranean cuisine. Branzino is a very mild, almost sweet white fish.
Finally for dessert, Apple Tart.

Good morning. It's Friday, September 25, 2026 and that means it's the weekend! Yea! No plans but Yea! Actually we do have plans. We plan to serve the following specials for the weekend. That means Friday evening and Saturday evening we are offering Arugula Salad with Burrata (A classic arugula salad with burrata layers peppery arugula leaves with creamy burrata cheese, often paired with tomatoes, basil, olive oil, and balsamic glaze).

So, I just re-read my Saturday post, saying I being very careful...what a hick. I meant to say I am being very careful. So far, 3 times this month I got the month wrong.
Good. morning Montgomery, Texas, Tom here. What a great Sinegal W**e Dinner on Sunday evening. I was worried because we had some last minute cancellations. However, we exceeded our expectations and it was actually, our most successful w**e dinner ever.
Alex Jaco, Sinegal Southeast Texas Sales Manager provided commentary on the exceptional Sinegal W**es that we featured. She helped us make the dinner phenomenal. Lots of positive comments from those that attended. Oh, and congrats to Lu Stew and John on their winning the door prize, a litre of Sinegal Napa Valley Cabernet.

OK. I being very careful since occassionally I get the date wrong, note the day, the month. Thanks to Lu Stew who proofs my work and let's me know when I put the incorrect month.
So, today is Saturday, of that I am sure. It is the 19th day, also sure of that. Now, according to my calendar, it is September. I got everything correct just need to split them out.

Guess what today is? Yea, I know finally. It's Friday! not August 18, 2026, September 18, and can't wait to see what the weekend brings. Sinegal W**e Dinner this Sunday evening, August 20, 2026 @ 5:30 PM. I am so excited about this one as the w**es are superb as well as the various courses.

Tuesday is here. It’s September 15, 2026 and the month of September is officially half over. Our specials tonight: (do I use a colon or semi-colon?) Pollo Romano: a Tenderized Chicken Breast, dredged in Pecorino Romano Cheese and flour, baked & served over mashed potatoes & asparagus topped with artichoke & Lemon Butter Sauce.

So, I used to post historical facts re: Texas History, I had several request's to do it again. So, this one is K-razy. On September 15, the Crash at Crush in 1896 near Waco: a Katy Railroad publicity stunt where two trains were deliberately crashed head-on. The explosion and flying debris killed three people and injured six.
Not sure what this stunt was supposed to prove. If it was to prove how safe railroad travel was, I would have to say it failed miserably. Kinda like autonomous driving cars, they scare me, I prefer taking my chances with a human controlled Uber or Lyft although I've been in some that seemed to be autonomously driven.
We still have spots left for the Sinegal W**e Dinner on Sunday, September 20, 2026 @ 5:30 PM. We had four people that had conflicts that day.

BIG NEWS! I was just informed, in addition to our usual specials, additionally we’ll have MEAT LOAF! For some reason a lot of people reuest our meat loaf since we no longer prepare it as a weekly special BUT, tomorrow night, that would be Wednesday Evening, we are doing a Meat Loaf special by reservation only. Call Cozy Grape and reserve a Meat Loaf Entree. We are only making it for whomever reserves the particular dish. Thanks to all, Tom out.

Thanks to all that came out and supported Cozy Grape. June 19, 2026, was 14 years that the community has supported us. We started our 15th year on June 20. That’s a long time for a restaurant and we know the reason, not us, you.
Tonights specials are Crab stuffed Mushrooms as an App, Redfish Papillote, entree numero uno and Pork Chops as our other entree with Strawberry Crepes, topped with Nutella.

It is so, so tasty and rich and as a r3esult we have lots of new admirers..

So, our specials are the same as last night, unless we ran out. Then it would be the same as last night minus the one we ran out of. Just checked, we’re good for tonight.
I decided to go ahead and post the specials and not be lazy. It’s Saturday, August 29, 2026, two days before August is over. A reminder, Labor Day is September 7. Labor Day is a federal holiday on the first Monday of September every year. It has its roots in the American labor movement. It has nothing to do with the day that the most babies are born.
Ok, Appetizer is Jalapeno Sausage Kielbasa in sauce with La Baguette. Entree’s are New York Strip OR Mahi-Mahi Dessert: Peach Cobbler.
