Hey West Columbia community, words can't express how grateful we are for the overwhelming love and support we received yesterday. Opening our doors for what could be the last time was emotional, but you made it a day to remember. A special shout-out to our limited but amazing staff and to each of you for your patience and understanding throughout the day.
Special thanks and shoutout to and Laysa Loo for going above and beyond all day! Y’all were the real MVPs on Saturday!
As for the future of 421 Coffeehouse and Bistro, it's still uncertain. We're actively exploring all avenues, and that's where you come in. Great news—we're opening for a final day tomorrow, Saturday, September 16th. It's your chance to grab those 421 favorites one more time.

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the temporary closure of 421 Coffeehouse and Bistro, effective immediately. Since the onset of the COVID-19 pandemic, our business has faced numerous challenges, making it increasingly difficult to sustain operations and provide for our dedicated staff and valued vendors.
We recognize that this closure comes without prior notice, and for that, we are deeply sorry. We understand how frustrating and disappointing this must be for our loyal customers who have counted on us for their morning coffee and afternoon pick-me-ups. Our inability to provide advanced warning weighs heavily on us.
During this hiatus, we will be diligently evaluating various paths forward for our beloved establishment. We owe immense gratitude to our incredible team, who have been the backbone of 421 Coffeehouse and Bistro over the years. Your hard work and commitment have not gone unnoticed.
We also want to extend our deepest thanks to our loyal customers—your support has meant the world to us, and it has been a privilege to serve you.
