September's Intrusive Thoughts just clocked in.
Introducing the newest Intrusive Thoughts sando for September: the Chopped Cheese. Sazon seasoned ground beef chopped on the flat top with onions and poblano peppers, sharp white cheddar and American cheese melted straight into the mix, then piled on a buttered hoagie with shredded lettuce, tomato, mayo, and black pepper ketchup. Chopped, screwed, smothered, and stacked. Insanely good and unreasonably large.
Also on shift: the Jalapeño Cheddar Dog. Sharp cheddar, caramelized onions, roasted jalapeño coleslaw, and a drizzle of Carolina Gold BBQ. Don't get attached. This one's Friday only.

Chop Night returns Thursday at 7pm: charred bone-in pork ribeye over yellow curried sweet potatoes, with rocket, julienned onion, cherry tomato, Cotija, and house-made MTI honey mustard vinaigrette. $22 and smoky as hell.
First come, first chopped.

You can just about count the Houston breweries that've made it to 10 on one hand. Our friends at Eureka Heights just joined the club, and the party's at our place.
September 2nd at 6pm, Eureka Heights takes over a stretch of our taps with the four OG beers that started it all: Space Train, Mostly Harmless, Wicket Awesome, and Moo Caliente, plus a few more where those came from. Come drink a birthday beer and toast ten years.

When bonito flakes wave at you, wave back.
Intrusive Thoughts is running it back with the exceptionally friendly pineapple teriyaki glizzy. Made by our friends at The Chopping Block, decked out with red onion, jalps, bacon, bonito flakes, and mayo. Sweet, smoky, and spicy, all riding on the back of a pork pineapple teriyaki sausage.
Meanwhile the Jerk Chicken Banh Mi is still pulling Friday shifts: 48-hour marinated jerk thigh, ginger peach jam, the pickled carrot/cucumber/daikon situation, and mayo keeping the peace.
They say the best way to beat the heat is spicy food and copious amounts of cold beer. Lucky for you, we got both.

Friday’s Intrusive Thoughts are looking real dangerous in a lunch-break kind of way.
The Jerk Chicken Banh Mi is back with ginger peach jam, 48-hour jerk chicken thigh, fresh pickled carrots, cucumbers, and daikon, chopped jalapeños, and a swirl of mayo to keep things cool and creamy.
And because she needs a friend, we’re also running an Alligator Crawfish Pork Boudin Glizzy topped with jalapeños, red onion, crispy onions, Creole mustard, and house-made remoulade.

Soft Palms hits the Tower on August 15 with the kind of hazy, floaty psych-pop that makes the patio feel a little more magical. Local band The Midnight Papers will be joining the lineup too, because one good band is nice, but two is better.
No cover, no overthinking, no “what are we doing tonight?” spiral. Just pull up, grab something cold, and let the patio get dreamy for a bit.

To reach Canal Street in Houston, visitors can take the Green or Purple METRORail to the Main Street Square Station or Preston Station. From there, it's a short walk to Canal Street.
Drivers can take the I-10 East and exit onto McKee Street, which leads directly to Canal Street. There are several paid parking lots along Canal Street for those driving.
Once on Canal Street, visitors can find the hot dog restaurant and American restaurant by walking west towards Navigation Boulevard. The hot dog joint and pub is located further east towards Lockwood Drive.
