🚨 Community Post 🚨
Katy friends: does anyone have information about the sidewalk construction happening near The Oaks Restaurant & Bar?
We’ve noticed construction markings around the large oak tree beside our restaurant at 829 S. Mason Rd. and we’re concerned about what the current sidewalk plans may mean for the tree.
It looks like the new sidewalk has been routed around some of the nearby crepe myrtles, so we’re hopeful there may also be a way to work around this beautiful oak.
We’ve reached out to Office of Commissioner Lesley Briones, Precinct 4 for clarification, but in the meantime, does anyone know more about this project or who we should contact regarding the plans for this section?
This tree has been part of the property and neighborhood for years and we would love to see it preserved if at all possible.
Please share or tag anyone who may have information. We’d really appreciate the community’s help finding out more.
