Regular French toast doesn't get espresso cream underneath it, or a stuffing of house-made whipped mascarpone, or a top layer of coffee mascarpone, coffee syrup, cocoa powder, and espresso sugar. Ours does, because at some point in the test kitchen, "good enough" stopped being an option.

There's a very specific kind of confidence it takes to wear a flannel and shorts to breakfast in the same outfit, and we respect it completely.
