MOVING CLASSES ONLINE, NO CLASSES MARCH 16-21
In order to mitigate the spread of COVID-19, the University of Houston will hold no classes, whether in-person or online, March 16-21, 2020.
Classes will resume remotely (online or alternative format) beginning March 23.
Students are asked to stay at home. University housing and dining services will be open for student residents who need it. Sanitization and hygiene protocols will be escalated.
Faculty and staff may work from home to the extent you are able to perform your functions remotely. UH, including Sugar Land and Katy, will remain open and all offices and services will continue to operate. Research labs will be open and related services will remain in operation.
Events funded and sponsored by UH and requiring large gatherings of more than 50 people in the Greater Houston Area are discouraged through March 31. Those seeking to hold events of 50+ during March or April should seek permission of your vice president.
Facilities will be maintained using aggressive sanitization and hygiene protocols as recommended by authorities. This includes increased custodial cleaning and the availability of hand sanitizer dispensers at all entrances, common areas and elevators.
At this time, there are no confirmed cases of COVID-19 at the University of Houston. We urge you to please follow personal hygiene precautions and exercise social distancing measures as recommended by CDC and local health authorities.
