Accomplished is an apt description for our J’Maiya Steward. She started with Chick-fil-A in 2012, earned her Bachelor’s Degree in 2018, was promoted to General Manager of the 288 & Southfork Dr location in 2023, started Chick-fil-A’s Point University later in 2023, and earned her Master of Business Administration this year! She is our first to complete her degree with Chick-fil-A Point University (and made all A’s).
Her advice to any of her team members who are considering applying to Chick-fil-A’s university program (now University of the Cumberlands) – don’t wait! J’Maiya shares that the pursuit of her Master’s while working fulltime meant a lot of late nights of reading and writing papers but it was worth it.

What’s next for J’Maiya? She is working on her goal to become a Chick-fil-A Operator or to work for our corporate office and we are happy to support her every step of the way.

If you are considering a job with Chick-fil-A, one of the benefits is the option for free enrollment from Chick-fil-A’s University of the Cumberlands. All full time team members can apply, there are over 120 accredited degree pathways (Associate, Bachelor’s and Master’s), and the program is built for working adults with 100% online classes. The Well on MastersRoad was showcased at our annual Easter event and received a check for a portion of our event sales to assist with their mission. This food pantry serves hundreds of families from northern Brazoria County every week and is solely supported by donations and staffed by volunteers.
