Itās long, but itās fun š¤©
The ones behind the scene š
You hear it all the time and it may sound so clichƩ, but it is true. I could not do it without them. For those who want to stick around for storytime, I welcome you!
I want to start with my mom often referred to as āMama Jennyā. She is the voice behind it all. When I first wanted to open namasTEA, I was convinced that I would be successful selling JUST tea. My mom worked really hard to inform me I was out of my mind. š Fortunately, I listened before it was too late. My mom has helped me in every aspect of namasTEA: from creating the original blueprint to wringing out my tea with her two little hands to helping me navigate this crazy world of business. Those are just a few of the many things she has helped me with. I could write a short novel on all the ways she has helped me as a person and challenged me in many ways to make me stronger! She is a woman that wears many hats š©·
Van, or āPapa Vanā as my old employees would refer to him as when weād talk. He changes my air filters when I forget, helps me assemble things when I cannot, and brews the tea for Mama Jenny to wring. He picks up the phone when I call to hear what I have to say. Heās the perfect addition š.
My sister Nhien is the creative to my chaos. She has created every version of my namasTEA logos. She helps me when I give her a two second turnaround⦠(because letās be real, my āideasā never happen in a timely manner)! She hand-painted the leaves on namasTEAās walls as well as the bathroom door. She brings laughter to the shop with her order of āStrawberry Thai Tea with boba and two scoops of creamer on topā. (Strawberry Thai does not exist. Sheās requesting a Strawberry Milk Tea š). When I need an extra hand for a catering or pure entertainment, I can always count on her. (Donāt worry, we bicker too. Sheās the oldest and Iām the youngest. Itās not my fault. š)
LOL, Khoa. Thatās my brother. Youāll see him at (Mama) Jennyās Bakery or power-walking through the parking lot dropping sweet treats off to me. Our original brown namasTEA work shirts were all his idea. He worked here with us for a little while before moving onto the bakery. The team loves him as we all know he can provide us with laughter. I mean, just look at him. He is just goofy šš¤Ŗ (in a little sister-bantering tone).
Liem, the Groom and man of that hour. He helped me pick out and order the tables and stools that you see in the front of namasTEA. He is the unofficial IT guy and helps me with anything technology. If you want to catch him in the wild, youāll have to come to our celebration Sunday! (My sister-in-law said theyāre coming š¤).
My niece, Leina and nephews Jiren and Tavenā I canāt forget about them. They keep me young (or growing grays). Leina helped my sister paint the leaves when she was the wee age of seven or so. She is creative like Nhien and the best big sister to the boys. Jiren and Taven keep it fun in here with their ice cream and boba orders. I know when they come, my office will always be filled with laughter, tattling, love, with a side of Krazy Kolors (or flavor of chicken that day!) I have forever samplers and critics š„°
The bonuses to my siblings š©·. They have all helped in one way or the other. Dustin, Tina and Sarah are the added additions to the ones I was born with š„³. My office desk wouldnāt be in-tact to the wall without Dustin. My cake balls wouldnāt be perfectly drizzled without Tina. My heart wouldnāt be filled without Sarah and her love for Krazy Kookie Dough.
namasTEA isnāt this without them. It has been one heck of a ride, but I am thankful for every bump in the road. Iām sorry I kept you so long. If youāve made it this far⦠you really should to treat yourself to a trip to see us this Sunday from 12-4pm. I canāt wait to see you, and hug you, and love on you!
