Batanga Houston was a Latin American tapas restaurant that served small plates from various regions in Latin America, as well as dishes from Spain and Portugal. They were open for lunch and dinner seven days a week, and brunch on the weekends, with take away and catering service available. Batanga was popular for hosting large private parties, corporate events, conventions, bachelorette parties, weddings, and more. Their 30-foot bar offered a selection of around 50 beers including select Texas craft beer on tap along with specialty cocktails from Latin America and an extensive wine list featuring regional wines from Latin America, Spain, and Portugal. Unfortunately, this restaurant has been permanently closed.

To get to the Latin American restaurant located at Congress Avenue in Houston, you can take public transport by using the MetroRail (Red Line) and getting off at the Convention District Station. From there, it is a short walk west on Rusk Street until you reach Congress Avenue.
If driving, you can park in one of the nearby parking garages such as the Convention Center Garage or the Theater District Parking Garage. From there, walk west on Rusk Street until you reach Congress Avenue.
