It's our 9th Anniversary! 🎉

On Monday, March 17, 2017, we opened our doors at 611 Jackson Street in Richmond.

We had ZERO experience as baristas, but we believed in the power of coffee shops to bring people together.

We were convinced that Richmond was a special place with tons of potential, so we made a bet that Blockhouse could play a small part in sparking a neighborhood rebirth.

What we didn't expect was you guys - the first-timers who became friends, the regulars who turned into family, and every single person who chose to spend a little piece of their day with us.

Through the highs, the lows, and everything in between, this community's support has been amazing.

We are so grateful for the opportunity to serve y'all and look forward to many more years of being "more than a coffee shop" for our neighbors. ☕️ ❤️
