In April, Thy and Chef Jassi envisioned a dinner that would celebrate the culinary diversity and global spirit of Houston through food, culture, and connection. On June 1, that vision will continue with five of Houston’s celebrated chefs coming together for an unforgettable evening in her honor.

The World at the Table brings together chefs, stories, and cuisines that reflect the spirit of connection Thy believed food could create.

Guests will enjoy a five-course dinner with curated wine pairings from Chef Jassi Bindra, Chef Hugo Ortega, Chef Lena Trang, Chef Ardian Brantoro, and Chef Raffi Nasr, with each chef sharing dishes inspired by their heritage, travels, and traditions.

To everyone who joined us on Monday,

Monday’s vigil was a moment we will never forget. To every team member, friend, guest, neighbor, and member of our community who stood beside us, your presence meant more than words can express. Seeing so many people gathered together in love, support, and remembrance was truly powerful.

Over the past several days, we have watched this community show up for us in ways we never could have imagined. We are deeply grateful to everyone who has reached out, supported us, and quietly cared for us behind the scenes.

The love and support surrounding our team has reminded us exactly why we do what we do, and we will continue serving this community with heart, hospitality, and gratitude.

To our Traveler’s family,

This week has been incredibly difficult, and we know many of you have expressed a desire to show your love, support, and respects.

On Monday, May 11, we will be hosting a vigil from 2:00 PM to 6:00 PM at Traveler’s Cart. This gathering is open to our community of supporters, longtime guests, team members past and present, and all those who wish to honor and pay their respects to the Mitchell family.

The vigil will take place in the south parking lot next to the paint store. Please note that the restaurant itself will remain closed and locked during this time to allow space for private gathering and reflection.

Our final lunch seating will take place at 1:45 PM. Parking will be limited, and rideshare is strongly encouraged.

We also respectfully ask that members of the media allow our Traveler’s team, family, and guests the opportunity to gather peacefully and refrain from approaching them for interviews or comments.

We welcome everyone to come together in remembrance, reflection, and support for one another during this difficult time. We kindly ask for continued unity, compassion, and respect as we honor those we have lost.
