Thankful Tuesday!❤️

Yesterday, we had the wonderful opportunity to welcome the owners of TEASPOON Cafe located in Spring. As owners of the first Houston-area franchise of this California-chain brand, it was an honor to connect with fellow entrepreneurs in the food and beverage industry.

From the moment we sat down and shared stories, it felt like we had known each other for years. We spoke openly about the realities of small business ownership; the sacrifices, challenges, resilience, and passion required to build something meaningful in the food industry. Conversations like these are always encouraging because they remind us that we are not alone in this journey. We share and experience a similar journey.

One of the most meaningful moments was when they tried our Philippine coffee. On the very first sip, they smiled and said, “Good coffee.” As I shared our story, mission, and vision of becoming trailblazers in bringing Philippine coffee to the world, they responded, “You are serving your mission now to us.” They immigrated from Kazakhstan and hearing those words from other nationalities who’ve tasted and loved our Philippine coffee meant so much to us because it affirmed the purpose behind everything we are building.☕️🇵🇭

They also loved our Beef and Egg Tacos 🌮. Feels good to hear from fellow food proprietors when they said “Your husband is a good chef!🧑‍🍳 They also enjoyed our mango smoothie, which was especially meaningful to hear knowing they themselves are known for having good smoothie menu. Compliments from fellow café owners carry a special kind of encouragement and inspiration.

We are incredibly grateful that they discovered our café online and decided to stop by while driving through the area. They took photos, shared that they plan to feature us on their social media, and even offered to invite their Filipino friends to come support and visit our café. That kind of generosity and support among small business owners is something we deeply value.

Moments like this remind us that business is not only about serving products, it is about building relationships, creating community, and uplifting one another along the journey. We look forward to visiting Teaspoon café someday as well and continuing this newfound friendship and support for one another.
