Today, Spanky’s officially turns 50. ❤️🍕
Fifty years ago, Spanky’s opened its doors. It quickly became so much more than a pizza restaurant. It became a place where memories are made, traditions begin, and generations come together.
Today, we’re simply filled with gratitude.
To every person who has ever been part of the Spanky’s family, thank you. Every pizza you made. Every guest you greeted with a smile. Every table you served. Every dish you washed. Every restaurant you cleaned. Every phone call you answered. Every job behind the scenes that no one ever saw. You helped build what Spanky’s is today.
To every manager who believed in our people, developed future leaders, protected our culture, and lived the Spanky’s standard, thank you. Your leadership shaped this company in ways that will last for generations.
To our owners, the Roche and Mariner families, thank you for five decades of blood, sweat, tears, sacrifice, and unwavering commitment. Your vision created something truly special. Something uniquely Houston.
And to our guests, thank you. Thank you for choosing us, celebrating with us, and making us part of your lives. We’ve been honored to host first dates, birthday parties, little league celebrations, family dinners, after-game meals, and countless ordinary moments that became lifelong memories. Watching families come back with their children, and now their grandchildren, is the greatest compliment we could ever receive.
As the second generation entrusted with this incredible legacy, we don’t take that responsibility lightly. We hope and pray to honor the foundation built before us with the same passion, hard work, and commitment that carried Spanky’s through its first 50 years.
Here’s to celebrating the past. Loving the present. And doing everything we can to earn the privilege of serving Houston for the next 50 years.
