~ Rest In Peace, Mr. Victor Gonzales ~

It is with incredibly heavy hearts that we share the unexpected passing of our dear friend and longtime Via Emilia pianist, Victor Gonzales, who passed away Monday morning.

For 16 years, Victor sat at the piano at Via Emilia, filling our restaurant with beautiful music, warmth, and joy. But to our family, Victor was so much more than our pianist. He was our friend for 20 years, and over those years, he truly became part of the Orioli family.

Victor always had a smile on his face, and there was something special about the way his music could fill a room and make people happy. He was part of countless dinners, celebrations, anniversaries, birthdays, proposals, and ordinary evenings that became a little more memorable because Victor was at the piano.

It is difficult to imagine Via Emilia without him. His music may have stopped, but the memories he created within these walls, and within our family, will remain with us always.

Our thoughts are with Victor’s family and all who loved him. Rest in peace, Victor. Thank you for 20 years of friendship, 16 years of beautiful music, and more memories than we could ever count. You will be deeply missed.
