We're thrilled to announce a new Pappasitos Cantina is making its way to Katy, TX!! 🎉 Construction will begin in Fall 2025, with more updates to be shared around as we move closer to opening.
Our love for bringing bold Tex-Mex flavors and legendary hospitality to our guests is stronger than ever, and we can’t wait to become part of this vibrant community.

We’re thrilled to celebrate Debbie Dahlman, the extraordinary General Manager at Pappas Bar-B-Q in Houston, who has been an integral part of the Pappas family for 27 years, including her most recent 15 years at Pappas Bar-B-Q! 🎉
Debbie’s wealth of experience, passion for hospitality, and commitment to her team have been a driving force behind her success.

💡 What Debbie loves about working at Pappas: “Working for a family-owned business makes you feel supported and valued. There’s always someone to guide you and ensure you’re never alone. It’s a comfort knowing the team has your back.”
🔑 Why she’s stayed with Pappas for 27 years: “It’s the people—the structure, the patience, and the teamwork. I’ve worked with incredible leaders who taught me so much. Building a team where everyone feels excited to come to work is my proudest accomplishment. Celebrating wins and making the workplace fun is what it’s all about.”
📓 Biggest lesson learned: “When I was promoted to General Manager, it was an honor and a challenge, but I proved that I could succeed. That experience taught me to never doubt my abilities.”

At Pappas Restaurants, we know how important it is to stay active—and we make it fun! 🎉 Our amazing team members crush their fitness goals while building bonds that last a lifetime. 💪
From friendly volleyball matches 🏐 to spirited golf tournaments ⛳, our intramural sports programs are all about teamwork, camaraderie, and, of course, a little friendly competition. 😉
🔥 In 2025, we’re kicking it up a notch! We’re adding soccer ⚽ and pickleball 🏓 to the mix in Houston, DFW, Austin, and San Antonio. 🙌

Meet Tara Mejia, our incredible Front of House Operations Manager, who has been a valued member of the Pappas family for an amazing 21 years! 🎉
As Front-of-House Operations Manager, Tara oversees all dining room entities, including the Server, Bar, Busser, To-Go, and Host positions, as well as overseeing our Event Booking Specialists, who book every private event for the company.
💼 Concepts worked at: Pappas Seafood and Pappadeaux
💡 What Tara loves about working at Pappas: “The family feel of a privately owned company, the camaraderie, and the endless opportunities for advancement.”
🔑 Why she’s stayed with Pappas for 21 years: “I started as a Server in college and was able to build a career here. The leadership is incredible and always transparent about the direction of the company.”

🍷 Wine Wins: We uncorked over 51,000 bottles of wine at Pappas Bros. Steakhouse this year🥂
🌮 Fajita Fiesta: At Pappasito's Cantina, we sizzled up 1.5 million pounds of fajitas in 2024!
🥑 Guac Goals: Our guests devoured 120,000 gallons of guacamole this year—that's over 3.9 million avocados mashed to perfection!
🍋 Lemon Love: Guests squeezed 6,000 pounds of lemons onto their oysters this year at Little’s Oyster Bar.
🍟 Fry Frenzy: Pappas Burger served up 52,000 pounds of fries and…
🥤 Shake Success: …. whipped up 40,000 milkshakes this year.
🥧 Pie Popularity: Guests ordered 102,000 slices of pie this year from Pappas Bar-B-Q!

🎁✨ Spreading Holiday Cheer with Project Santa! ✨🎁
At Pappas Restaurants, we’re proud to host Project Santa, our annual holiday fundraiser supporting the amazing youth of the Boys & Girls Clubs. 🌟 These local clubs empower kids from low-income households, helping them stay on track to graduate high school and develop into well-rounded individuals ready to plan for a meaningful future.
This year, we’re thrilled to share that:
🎒 In Houston, we’re supporting 330 children!
🎁 Across our entire company, we’re making the holidays brighter for 687 children!
Through Project Santa, we provide:
🎒 Essential clothing or uniforms needed for school success.
🎁 Holiday gifts that kids have personally wished for.
The magic happens when parents receive these gifts in anonymous bags – labeled with only the child’s name and the number of gifts – so they can experience the joy of giving their children holiday presents they might not otherwise afford. 💝
Together, we’re creating memories, supporting futures, and sharing joy this holiday season. 🌟
