Due to MANY requests, we're doing something special this Friday.
Starting at 6 PM until we sell out, I’ll be making Korean Fried Chicken at Kokee Kitchen — the old Dak & Bop location — and this one is a little different.
I’ll be making EVERY SINGLE CHICKEN ORDER PERSONALLY.
And I’m serving a version of my chicken that I’ve NEVER offered at Dak & Bop before.

Going back to where it all started. ❤️🍗
After our first pop-up **SOLD OUT in just 45 minutes**, we knew we had to do it again!
This time, we’re returning to our original home at **1801 Binz St.** 🥹 We’re teaming up with **Kokee Kitchen**, the restaurant that now calls our former space home, for a special collaboration that brings back a little taste of the old days.
Kokee Kitchen serves Korean classics and a variety of fried chicken dishes, so we’re switching things up. **Our Dak & Bop menu will not include chicken initially**, allowing us to bring back some of the other classics you’ve been missing.
But don’t worry… 👀🍗 Throughout the pop-up, keep an eye out for **surprise double-fried chicken days**. We’ll announce select days when we fire up the fryers and bring back the chicken you’ve been asking for!
From **September 21–October 31**, we’ll rotate menu items so we can offer as many Dak & Bop classics as possible.
For those who remember Dak & Bop at 1801 Binz, we hope this feels like coming home — back to the place where our story began and so many memories were made.
But this pop-up means so much more than nostalgia.
Shortly after taking over the former Dak & Bop space, the owner of Kokee Kitchen was diagnosed with cancer. Since then, he’s faced an incredibly difficult road — undergoing treatment while still trying to show up every day and keep his business going.
**He’s been fighting on two fronts, and we want him to know he doesn’t have to do it alone.**
That’s why **all proceeds from this pop-up will go directly to the owner of Kokee Kitchen.** We’re hoping our community can come together, fill the dining room, enjoy some old favorites, and help give him and his business a little breathing room during an incredibly challenging time.
If Dak & Bop was ever a part of your story, we hope you’ll come back and be part of this one, too. ❤️

🚨 D&B IS POPPING UP! 🚨
Remember when grabbing a bite didn’t require checking your bank account first? 😂
A $20 burger? $18 sandwiches? Somehow, food prices went from “let’s grab something to eat” to “let me check my budget real quick.” 💸😭
So for Labor Day Monday, we’re bringing it back to basics:

Yep. SEVEN menu items for $7 or less.
Because everything is expensive right now, and we believe you should still be able to grab some GOOD food without checking your bank account.

They have their grand opening this weekend with some great giveaways.. if you miss Dak & Bop, give them a try! They have Korean fried chicken, Nashville Hot, plus many Korean dishes that will satisfy your cravings 😋

Today, September 24, 2025 - Wednesday, is a bittersweet day. It is our final day of business, and we will do our very best to serve you all. Since our announcement, the response has been unbelievable, and to be honest, we have had trouble keeping up with demand. Our staff has been running on fumes, but we have enough in us for one final hoorah. We have stocked up double on inventory, and we will be open till 9 pm or until we sell out. If we sell out before close, we will post on our stories.
PS: we still honoring our $1 Wing Wednesday deal on our final day!

The love and support we have been receiving at our little chicken spot has been unbelievable.
The waits may get long during peak hours but we will do our very best to serve you all.
PS: if we politely ask you to leave because you finished eating, packed up your food, and paid your tab, it's because we need your table. Don't take it personally. We tryin to feed all of Htown before we close up shop 😂

As we wind down to our final days, we will be taking walk-ins only. The support has been absolutely incredible, and we are unable to keep up with reservations with the amount of seats we have. During peak times, there can be possible long wait times, big crowds, but do not worry, there will be crispy AF chicken waiting for you 🍗
