Today is our last day.
Fifteen years ago, my parents opened House of Fries on Antoine Drive with a simple goal: make great food and take care of the people who walked through our doors. Houston, you made that easy.
This city has been through some things over the years, and so have we. Through storms, through freezes, through everything in between, we showed up. And every single time, this community showed up right back. That is not something we take lightly. Being rooted on Antoine Drive, in this neighborhood, among such great people, has been one of the greatest privileges of our lives.
Over fifteen years, we have watched Houston grow and we have watched our customers grow with us. People who came in on first dates and later walked in wearing wedding rings. Families who used to bring their little ones in for milkshakes, and those same kids are teenagers now, still coming through the drive-thru. Regulars who have been with us from day one and know the menu by heart. You became part of our story, and we hope we became a small part of yours.
To every person who ever worked with us over the years, thank you. You showed up, you worked hard, and you treated our customers like family. This place was never just ours. It was yours too.
And to everyone who ever left a kind word, drove across town for our loaded fries, told a friend about us, or just made us part of your weekly routine, thank you. You are the reason this place became what it did.
To Joe and Myriam, congratulations on your retirement. You built something real, something people loved, and you did it with your hands and your hearts every single day for fifteen years. You deserve every bit of what comes next.
Thank you, Houston. For fifteen years of showing up. It meant everything.
With love and gratitude,
The House of Fries Family 🍟❤️
