After much consideration, we have made the decision not to renew the lease at our Cypress location and have officially closed its doors as of June 1.
Saying goodbye to our original Duck N Bao is bittersweet. Cypress is where our story began, and we will always be grateful to our regulars, neighbors, and all who supported us from day one — especially through the challenges of the pandemic. Your encouragement helped shape Duck N Bao into what it is today.
Over the years, our restaurant family has grown to include two additional Duck N Bao locations, along with Hongdae 33 Korean BBQ and Seven Sushi & Robata. As our businesses, family and future plans have become increasingly centered in Houston, the end of our Cypress lease felt like the right time for this next chapter.
Duck N Bao will always be a love letter to our childhood homeland, to the dishes we grew up with and the memories they carry. We are honored to continue sharing them with our guests at our Memorial and Rice Village locations.
Thank you, Cypress, for being where it all began. ❤️

Wishing and the team all the best. Their incredible series is coming to an end and we are so grateful to have been one of the hundreds of restaurants they celebrated as one where Houstonians “Eat Like a Local.” Chris has been a champion of so many businesses and people like us and we are truly grateful to call him a Houstonian. Excited to see what he and the team do next!
