‼️Montrose Vet Clinic is collecting grocery store gift cards‼️
Many families in our community are losing access to food stamps — and we want to help. Las Perras Cafe has started a community fund to help families in need. In times like these it takes a community to help those who need it most.
What is needed: Gift cards to Grocery Stores such as Walmart, H.E.B, Kroger, etc.
Drop them off to the front desk at Montrose Veterinary Clinic and we will collect them and take them to Las Perras Cafe

had the pleasure of sitting down with and talking to her about Las Perras, MECA, The trailblazing founder, Alice Valdez and the rich, beautiful tradition of Dia de Mu***os.
This tradition is an indigenous holiday that has evolved and is now celebrated throughout the world and it was an honor to represent an organization that does so much for the latino community.

We had such an overwhelming amount of people donate their services, goods and time for this weekend that I needed to post a second round of raffle items for you to see.
We also have one more super special vendor to announce in the morning.
It is so inspiring to see how generous you all are. The power truly lies with the people.

My heart is breaking for the people of Lahaina. What makes this situation even worse is that amidst the devastation, Native Hawaiians are currently being offered money for their land by investors looking to turn their pain into profit, as if they haven’t taken enough.
The capitalist-colonial mindset is grotesque and has no line it won’t cross.
I know that for some people, Hawaii might seem like a world away but let me remind you that they too were a sovereign land of native people whose home was taken from them at the hands of the U.S. Government.
I can’t even begin to fathom what they are dealing with but I do know that I can call upon my community to come together for them.
I lived in Hilo, Hawaii once upon a time and had the opportunity to experience the spirit of aloha. I was a broke 19 year old but the community always looked out for each other and I was no exception.
This Sunday, I would like the community to come together to raise money for Lahaina. Anything will help.
I am also calling on my fellow business owners to please consider entering something into a raffle for Sunday.
The menu will be inspired by some of the amazing meals I had while living in Hawaii. Con much amor y aloha

I had to share some of the beautiful moments captured of the Night!
My takeaway from The Tragos Game Night was that although we may all come from different walks of life across the diaspora of latinidad, we have a lot more in common than we realize and humor and culture are a shared experience. I’m so proud to know everyone in these photos.
Shoutout to for putting together a beautiful event and for seeing what makes Houston so special.
