Many of you knew Judah from the market — whether helping at Aroma Teaz & Pon de Fyah, grilling up amazing food, sharing his smile, or just bringing positive energy every Thursday. He was truly part of the Kingwood Farmers Market family.

Tomorrow, we’re asking everyone to come out, shop local, support small businesses, and show love to Judah’s family during this difficult time.

Julie was my market neighbor when I first stared (at Lake Houston) and now at Kingwood. Her sons have always been so helpful with me. Always so sweet, kind and respectful.

We have lost one of our own. The Kingwood Farmers Market Family is heartbroken over the loss of Judah Richards . 💔

Many of you knew Judah with Pon De Fyah from the Kingwood farmers market, where his smile, energy, and incredible food quickly became part of the community. Every Thursday, people looked forward to seeing him behind the grill making his famous jerk chicken and so many other favorites that brought people together.

Judah was the son of Julie Angol and Samuel Richards, and a loving brother to Json Richards, Omari “Ogaro” Richards, Jahlahni Richards, and Jahdanigh Angol.

Born in Hallandale Beach, Florida on August 5, 2004, Judah was truly one of a kind. He was adventurous, fearless, full of rhythm, and had an old soul beyond his years. He loved 70s music, 90s hip hop, Michael Jackson, and classic movies like Friday and Rush Hour.

More than anything, Judah was known for putting others before himself. No matter what was going on, he always found a way to make people smile, feed the people around him, and bring joy wherever he went.

Please join us as we come together to celebrate Judah’s life and support his family during this incredibly difficult time.

For a while now I’ve had a nudge in my heart, God spoke to me one day and he also confirmed what He spoke to me another day.

Six years ago, I started Gens Teahouse with a simple idea, self centered in my own confidence and abilities I executed and always did my best. Now, with the grace of God I have grown, and realized my strength is not my own, my abilities are not my own, but that I need Jesus each day. And so each day, Jesus has shown me that He holds me and guides me. He’s my strength and refuge. He’ll always guide me and remind me of His promises.

I love the business I have built, I love the product I create with simple ingredients, my hands and a full heart. But more than that, I love God, and I want everything to reflect that love of God. A cup of coffee, a pastry or a smile.

That is why, I would love to introduce our new name, “Milk & Honey Coffee Shop”. So that we may always remember the promises, and thank God for everything He has already provided for us.
