You ever love a flower so much, you have to do a little photo shoot?
These are called grape hyacinths and I’ve never seen them in real life but always loved them and then my Mom happened to find some and give me them in a lovely flower pot for Valentine’s Day! They make me so happy.
Hyacinths can symbolize many different things (as is true with most flowers in the Victorian language of flowers), but I’ll choose the joy definition for these today.

I think the forest cakes are quickly becoming my favorite! Since this was for my friend’s birthday, I make the snails and mushrooms from polymer clay so she can add them to her miniatures collection and the wafer paper butterflies make me so happy!
Whimsical all the way.

What a busy and fun weekend of baking, working the shop, and getting to play with flowers. It’s always nice to hang out with family, enjoy lovely weather, and make something pretty. Got me feeling some type of way about the upcoming springtime shenanigans.
There will be lots of fresh bouquets this week so go grab one for yourself or for a loved one!

I really loved the darker vibes of this cake - plus chocolate is always a good idea!
The blackberries, dried oranges, and florals really pulled it all together on this one.

Am I the only one somewhat enjoying this weather?
I made a little flower cake at work today even though it’s in the 20s outside.
This is also one of my favorite flavors: lemon rosemary olive oil cake with blackberry jam and vanilla Swiss buttercream!

Things are selling out! The Christmas jam and savory almonds are gone and there are only two earl grey shortbreads left up for grabs. I still have hot cocoa (vegan!), spiced pecans, and cookie options available as well as rum cake. Please let me know what you’d like before December 20 for pickup on the 23. 🎄

A batch of cupcakes and a little 6” cake I got to do at work today! I’ll be re-vamping my cake ordering process in the new year to make things more streamlined and feature the cakes I love making. Will update on that later!
