On June 16th, 2006, 20 years ago today, our family opened the doors to the original Brooklyn Pizzeria in Humble.
We found these old newspaper articles from when we first opened, and honestly, they stopped us for a minute. Same dad. Same brothers. Same family. Just a lot younger, a little less tired, and with no idea what the next 20 years would bring.
You made Brooklyn part of your Friday nights, lunch breaks, team dinners, school nights, birthdays, and family traditions. You told your friends about us. You brought your kids in. Some of those kids grew up and now bring their own families in. That is not something we take lightly.
For 20 years, this community has supported our family, our staff, and this little pizza shop that somehow became a part of so many peopleβs lives.
The same father and brothers from day one are still here, still working, still arguing over the small details, still trying to make Brooklyn better, and still grateful every time someone chooses us.
Now, 20 years later, we are getting ready to open new Brooklyn Pizzeria locations in Fulshear and Kingwood this year. That feels unreal to even say. What started in Humble is growing again, and it only happened because people kept showing up for us.
From our family to yours: thank you.
Thank you for 20 years of orders, memories, patience, loyalty, and love.
If Brooklyn Pizzeria has ever been part of your life, leave us a comment. Tell us your favorite memory, tag someone you used to come in with, or share this with someone who remembers the early days.
We would love to read them.
20 years in Humble.
Still family owned.
Still Brooklyn.
