Close your eyes for a second...

Remember being 8 years old at a summer birthday party? Streamers taped crooked to the kitchen ceiling. Cake frosting on your cheek. A sleeve of Oreos and a glass of cold milk waiting on the counter when you got home. That feeling of nothing-to-do-tomorrow and everything-still-ahead-of-you.

We baked that feeling into a cookie.

Today we're launching Oreo Birthday, our newest jumbo cookie, and honestly it's the most fun thing we've made all year. Crushed Oreos folded all the way through. Sweet white chocolate chunks for that little melty pop. And a generous handful of rainbow birthday sprinkles in every bite because, well, every day holds a reason to celebrate.

It's like childhood summers in a cookie. Soft middle, chewy edge, made from scratch this morning.

24 Hrs Left to Order

Hey Friend,

This is the 24-hour mark, and probably the last full email I'll send before pre-orders close tomorrow night.

I want to say something honest about why we do all this: the menu, the photos, the long emails, the late-night batter mixing. It's not just because Mother's Day is a good week for a bakery (though it is, and I won't pretend otherwise).

It's because most of the moms I know, including the one who raised me, including my friends, and the one I see in the mirror, spend most of the year quietly making everyone else feel celebrated. They remember birthdays. They make the dentist appointments. They pack the lunches. They notice when someone's quiet at dinner. They do all of it without anyone particularly noticing they're doing it.

Mother's Day is the one Sunday a year where she gets to be the one who's noticed. And the dessert on the table is, strange as it sounds, part of how that gets said. A really good cake is a small but real way of telling her, "We see you. We see all of it. Thank you."

So whatever you grab from us, grab something. It doesn't have to be the biggest thing on the menu.

5 Days Left to Preorder

We're 5 days out from the pre-order cutoff (Monday at midnight), and I wanted to take a minute to talk about the hosts.

You know who you are. The ones who are simultaneously the mom and the daughter and the daughter-in-law and the one organizing brunch and the one making sure her mom feels celebrated and the one quietly hoping someone remembers it's her day too. The ones who'll spend Saturday cleaning the house, Sunday morning setting the table, and most of the weekend in some version of "performance mode."

Mini Cakes
(that don't have to be shared)

A confession from a mom of two: when I order myself a slice of cake, I do not actually want to share it.

This is one of those small, slightly petty truths that I think a lot of moms quietly hold. We share everything else all year. The last fry, the back seat, the shower, the bed, the snack we packed for ourselves and somehow ended up giving to a small person making sad eyes at us. So when Mother's Day comes around, can the cake just be… hers?

That's what our Mini Cakes ($16 to $60) were designed for. Personal-size. Fully decorated. Beautifully layered.
