Thank you to everyone who attended our autism acceptance panel discussion on Friday! Our panelists Justin Moehn, Amelia Maynard, and Kevin San Jose shared their lived experiences and provided great insight into autism. Guests walked away with practical and helpful ideas on how they can be more inclusive of the autistic community.

We encourage you to visit us at the Texana Cafe in Fulshear, Texas on Friday, April 17! Our cafe will be open from 8:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m., with our panel discussion beginning at 11:30 a.m.
Throughout the month of April, we are celebrating and honoring Autism Acceptance Month by highlighting the importance of understanding, inclusion, and community support.
The discussion will be moderated by Kate Johnson-Patagoc, Director of Specialized Services, and will feature our incredible speakers: Justin Moehn (BlueSprig), Amelia Maynard, and Kevin San Jose, two of whom are proud members of the Texana Center team.
These inspiring panelists will share personal insights about living with autism, discuss challenges they have faced, and explore ways we can all help build a more inclusive community.

In honor of Developmental Disabilities Awareness Month, we’re giving you a day behind the scenes as a Café Intern at Texana Cafe.
Our café interns play an important role each day, from preparing ingredients and helping in the kitchen to greeting customers and keeping the café running smoothly. These opportunities help build confidence, independence, and valuable job skills in a supportive environment.
This month is about recognizing the abilities, contributions, and potential of individuals with developmental disabilities. We’re proud to celebrate the amazing interns who are part of our Texana family and who make the café such a special place.
