He named his humble burger stand "Whataburger" in Texas, and now there are over 800 locations across the country. The family-owned business still serves pure beef on a toasted five-inch bun. Unfortunately, this restaurant has been permanently closed.

To get to Bayport Boulevard in Seabrook, there are a few options for public transport and driving/parking:
Public transport:
- You can take the METRO bus Route 249 from Downtown Houston towards Bay Area Blvd. and El Camino Real, get off at the Baybrook Mall STA and transfer to the METRO bus Route 249A towards Bay Area Blvd. and FM-1266, get off at the Repsdorph Rd @ Lakeside Dr stop. From there it's about a 10-minute walk eastbound on Repsdorph Road to reach Bayport Boulevard.
Driving/parking:
- If you're coming from downtown Houston, take I-45 S towards Galveston and exit onto NASA Bypass East/El Dorado Blvd. Continue on El Dorado Blvd until you reach the intersection with Hwy 146. Turn right onto Hwy 146 S and then turn left onto Repsdorph Road. Continue for about half a mile until you reach Bayport Boulevard.
- There is parking available at the restaurants or nearby street parking if spots are available.
